The Canada Goose Women Chilliwack Bomber was developed as a nod to the styling and needs of post war bush pilots in Canada’s north. At a time and in places where pilots performed their own aircraft maintenance on desolate, Canada Goose Parka, durability, warmth and mobility were vital if not at times, life saving. The iconic coyote fur ruff that surrounds the hood of the Chilliwack bomber ensured they wouldn’t be frostbitten while working on their crafts and the premium Canadian down insulation took care of maintaining core temperatures. The success of this iconic Canada Goose jacket is evidenced by the fact that Canada Goose jackets are still worn by northern pilots today and can be seen on TV shows like Ice Pilots.

Shell: 195gsm, Arctic-Tech; 85% polyester /15% cotton blend with a DWR.
Lining: 55gsm, Nylon plain weave treated with water repellent finish.

Fill:
625 fill power white duck down.

How Do I Know Which Size To Order?

Select the size that best matches your largest measurement (bust, waist or hip).
If you're between sizes, it's usually best to order the larger size so you have room to move, or so alterations can easily be made.

Bust

Let your arms hang naturally at your sides.
Have someone measure you with the measuring tape parallel to the ground.
Have your friend measure under your underarms, around your back and over the fullest part of your bust.
Make sure the measuring tape is snug but not tight.

Waist

Bend over to one side to find the spot where your waist naturally creases.
Measure this spot; it should be right under your navel.
Keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor and snug against your skin, but don't pull it tight.

Hip

Stand up straight with your feet together.
Have a friend measure over your hips and rear, around the fullest part.
Make sure to keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor.

the coat does run a little small. I am 125lbs and the midium size is a little tight if I want to wear a sweater underneath the coat. but it does contour the body very well. It is a beautiful and warm coat.

Wife loves the jacket. Very warm and still stylish. She was happy it had a waist to show she still has curves. The zipper can be a bit cumbersome but she says the attributes outway the zipper issues.

This is the best down coat in my opnion. I bought two, one for my sister and one for myself. This coat has good quality, while is stylish and warm. The lenghth is right below the knee, and it's true to the size. The zipper is not an issue to me. Plus, I can always button all the way down to the hem. The only problem is the fur on the hood, it's getting into my eyes so that I don't wear the hood very often, but you can always take the fur off, although it looks less stylish without the fur.

I purchased for an aunt who related that it was wonderful coat. However while it was quite warm and well made, it was too slim fitting at the top. If there is any room for doubt you might consider the next size up. Thankfully, the return process went well too. :)

This coat looks as good on as it does in the picture. Nicely tailored to give you shape. I found it to be true to size. From the other reviews, I ordered a size up and had to return it for my true size. I guess it depends on how fitted you want it to be. I wanted a more tailored look. Very affordable and well worth the money.

For the price, this is a wonderful coat. I bought it for my wife, who has Cold Agglutinin Disease, and she compares it to wearing a down comforter. It packs easily, its weight belying its warmth. Makes a great outer layer. I wish it were waterproofed and that the hood closed a bit more tightly around the face. On the whole, a fine garment.

This coat is very nice, it is well made. No feathers sticking out it and it has nice soft fabric. It is warm and great for the cold weather here in the midwest. My only regret is that it is not as long as I would have liked, the calves of my legs are exposed, but will be great for a person who wants a warm, inexpensive, but not overly long down coat.
